Introduction to the Broun Genealogy written by Robert J. Broun

Robert J. Broun, the author of this genealogy, was a descendant of the Robert Broun who settled in Goose Creek, near Charleston, South Carolina, in the early 1700s.  The Robert Broun whose descendants are detailed in this genealogy was the brother of William Broun.  Robert J. Broun researched and compiled a family history of the descendants of Robert Broun at the same time that Philip Broun was working on his genealogy of the descendants of William Broun.  The Robert Broun genealogy was completed in 1971.
